The aim is to professionalise the external and internal communication of NGOs, to develop their objectives and instruments through the targeted use of social science research, and to improve the social communication of NGOs representing discriminated minority groups or supporting socially less accepted causes. The project’s direct target group are members, staff, volunteers and supporters of NGOs involved in advocacy, support and legal protection of discriminated and marginalised minority groups. Indirect target group: NGOs involved in social communication and campaigning.
The project will implement a model programme consisting of three main activities. Networking: to continuously increase the number of participating organisations throughout the project. Research: collecting data through a jointly developed research concept, analysing the data according to commonly set criteria and making use of it by the organisations participating in the network. Communication: a series of workshops and planning meetings based on previous research data, as welél as on the results of our own research. A research and analysis centre will be set up in cooperation with NGOs, providing the organisations involved in the network with quality social science information that they would not be able to produce individually, on their own or by "buying" market services.
