Supporting the psycho-social well-being of migrant children in the Hungarian education system

The aim of the project is to facilitate the school integration of migrant children, to support their mental health and also the mental health of their parents, and to support school professionals who deal with these children.

  • individual counselling for children focusing on their special needs (school enrolment support, tutoring, teaching Hungarian, mental health support, school admission preparation etc.),
  • community programs for children (after-school group activities, community building classroom activities in classes where migrant children study),
  • summer camp and day camps for children,
  • community programs for parents (facilitation of parent-teacher meetings, interpretation and intercultural mediation during parent-teacher meetings, information sessions about the Hungarian school system, school enrolment, etc.),
  • support for school professionals (workshops, individual consultations).
