The project’s aim is to enable people working in the field of immigrant integration to perform more effectively in their professional work, thus supporting the social integration of immigrants in Hungary. We plan to reach our aim through the training of the above mentioned professionals. Our association has developed and accredited a complex, 88-hour-long training curriculum, which beyond familiarising the audience with basic knowledge about migration, and the theory and practice of intercultural communication and conflicts, puts a special emphasis on deepening professional self-knowledge and developing a helper’s identity which are sensitive to the special needs of immigrants in Hungary. The forty participants of the training are expected to gain theoretical and practical knowledge, which they will be able to apply effectively in their everyday work with immigrants.
