Supporting the psycho-social well-being of Ukrainian children in the Hungarian education system

The aim of the project is to facilitate the school integration of children fleeing from Ukraine, to support their mental health and also the mental health of their parents, and to support school professionals who deal with children fleeing from Ukraine.

Project activities:

  • individual counselling for children focusing on their special needs (school enrollment support, tutoring, teaching Hungarian, mental health support, etc.),
  • community programs for children (after-school group activities for children from Ukraine, community building classroom activities in classes where Ukrainian children  study),
  • summer camp and day camps for children,
  • community programs for Ukrainian parents  (parent group, facilitation of parent-teacher meetings, interpretation and intercultural mediation during parent-teacher meetings, information sessions about the Hungarian school system, school enrollment, etc.),
  • support for school professionals (workshops, individual consultations, conference on the education of migrant children, Train the trainer training),
